More on the class and FAQ

1. Why 4 hours per class? Answer: The SAT is a 4-hour test which requires that students build up their mental stamina. We will have a short lunch break after 2 hours.

2. What are the Practice Tests? Answer: Full official SAT tests from the College Board book will be assigned as homework. The College Board is the SAT test-maker so their tests are the most accurate available to simulate the real SAT. Students must time themselves accurately when doing the Practice Test at home.

3. Is there homework? Answer: Yes, a minimum of 3 hours of homework is assigned for each week. In past experience, students that keep up with their homework perform the best in the real SAT test.

4. Who teaches the class? Answer: Victor Solis is a top SAT and academic tutor with one of the leading regional SAT Prep companies. Since 2007, he has tutored over 80 private students from Palos Verdes to Pacific Palisades. In 2009, he began teaching full-size SAT classes at two prestigious private high schools in the Beverlywood district of Los Angeles. His website is InitiaEducation.com.

5. What’s the average point increase for SAT Prep students? Answer: Students who attend each class, complete all homework, and follow the strategies can expect an average score increase of 200 points. Victor has tutored students with score increases of over 330 points and a few of his students have earned max scores of 800 on certain SAT sections.
