She received her B.S. degree in Biology (with an emphasis on Biochemistry) from Cal State Dominguez Hills in 2004. In 1999, while working towards her degree, she began her work as a tutor for all levels of Chemistry as well as basic Algebra, biology, and other science subjects.

In addition to possessing a number of years of tutoring experience, Kat has also acquired several years of hands on experience in the field of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Kat tries to take a real-life approach to these subjects when assisting her pupils because she feels that seeing them in action in everyday life helps to improve comprehension and understanding of the subject. She prides herself on having an excellent ability to explain difficult concepts as well as a light-hearted persona and sense of humor.

These traits, coupled with her unending patience, experience with pupils of all ages and abilities, ability to easily explain difficult chemistry concepts, and her highly professional work ethic make her an outstanding tutor in this subject.

At this time, Kat’s schedule is fairly flexible, being available for most times Monday through Saturday.

Chemistry tutoring experience

She tutored both in group settings and one-to-one for both Los Angeles Valley College and the University of Judaism from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003 she tutored one-to-one and in small study groups while at California State Univeristy, Dominguez Hills, in Los Angeles County. Following her graduation in 2004 she began working as an occupation analytical chemist for a precious metal refinery....and has since split her work time between this job and then tutoring in the evening and weekends.

through this whole period from 1999 to 2007 she has tutored privately as well....giving her a great deal of experience in helping pupils to achieve their best.
