Jeff is a math, science, and MCAT tutor who can teach every math and science subject through the high school level and many at the college level as well. The cities he will go to for in home math and chemistry tutoring include Santa Monica, Culver City, Playa Vista, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hermosa, Palos Verdes, and Rolling HIlls. Basically, if you are between West LA and Palos Verdes there's a good chance you are in Jeff's domain.

A native of Palos Verdes, Jeff received his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and is now applying to medical school. He has several years of tutoring experience, including peer tutoring experience at el camino college for the MESA program. Unlike many math and science tutors Jeff has an easy going and fun personality. He has great explanation skills and adapts his teaching style to fit the needs of each student.

To add to his already impressive resume Jeff won both the McQuerry Award for General Chemistry and the Campbell award for Organic Chemistry. These are awards given to the top student in each chemistry series for that year.

"I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics. Until recently, I finished my post-baccalaureate premedical studies at El Camino College where I have received a 4.0 GPA in the last 4 semesters. In each semester I completed a full load of sciences classes. Recently I scored a 35 in the MCAT which roughly translates to a 95% score. I excel in the sciences. But I also have a deep interest in history, English and other non-science subjects.

At the moment I am tutoring Geometry. I believe that I am an effective tutor because I am also a student. I personally know which methods of teaching are effective. I also understand the importance of being patient. It is important for the student to learn to develop the answers alone and for the tutor to guide the student to the answers. The teacher should not just simply give the answers. I believe it takes patient nurturing for the learning process to be effective."
